TruHacks is Truman State University's annual 48-hour hackathon, co-hosted by the Google Developers Group on Campus (GDG) and the Community of College Entrepreneurs (CCE) with the support of the City of Kirksville. This innovative event brings together students, local organizations, and community members to address pressing challenges through creative problem-solving and collaborative efforts.
Whether you are an expert programmer, someone who is just starting out to get their hands on coding, or someone who has innovative ideas to pitch, you are all welcome to participate within the following categories:
- Beginner
- Business
- Developer

Requirements
PARTICIPATION IS OPEN TO BOTH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE ATTENDEES, PROVIDED THAT AT LEAST ONE OF THE TEAM MEMBER IS PRESENT IN-PERSON!

Team Formation: Participants must form teams consisting of 1 to 4 members. Teams can be pre-formed or formed during the event.

Categories: Projects must fall into one of the following categories: Beginner, Developer, or Business. Each category has specific criteria for eligibility and judging.

Project Scope: Projects must be original and developed during the event. Plagiarism or the use of pre-existing projects will result in disqualification(with the exception of the business category).

Submission Deadline: Projects must be submitted by 9:30 AM, Sunday, March 22nd. Submissions must be on time to be accepted.

Code Submission: Participants in the Beginner and Developer categories are required to submit their project code for evaluation. Developer category must also present their work to the judges.

Presentation (Business Pitch Category Only): Teams in the Business Pitch category must prepare a presentation to showcase their project to the judges.
